Comments and Recommendations
The latest jail inspection report issued by the Iowa Department of Corrections states admission and classification is nearly impossible due to the architectural design of the facility. The facility is outdated, is a health concern, and a safety/security concern.
It also speaks to a serious liability concern for Guthrie County when the dispatcher, jailer, and 911 operator are performing multiple functions.
